Fox’s Jesse Watters Erupts on Juan Williams For Defending Migrant Caravan: Are You Calling Sara Carter a Liar?!

Fox News’ Jesse Watters erupted on fellow The Five co-host Juan Williams Tuesday over the latter’s defense of the migrant caravan making its way from Central America to the United States.

After Williams criticized “fear-mongering” about the caravan, Watters went off. He noted that Fox News contributor Sara Carter — who writes about the “Deep State” for her own website SaraCarter.com — is down in southern Mexico covering the caravan.

“Sara Carter, one of your colleagues here at Fox News, went down there. You’re not there, she’s down there, she’s a colleague,” Williams said.

Watters claimed that Carter has “confirmed” there are members of the MS-13 gang “among the caravan.” Watters did not cite any of Fox News’s own reporters on the ground covering the caravan.

And then, raising his voice: “If you’re going to sit there and call your colleague a liar, while you’re sitting on your tush in a nice air-conditioned studio in Manhattan, I really think that’s unbecoming.”

“I think that’s a very cheap rhetorical trick,” Williams fired back.

The two shouted at each other for a few more minutes, with Williams accusing Watters of being “on message for President Trump.”

Greg Gutfeld eventually said to Williams: “You’re obsessed with race!”

“I think you have a difficulty acknowledging where there is racial injustice and where someone is using a racial pitch to stir his base in order to try and do better in the midterms,” Williams replied.
