Trump Supporter Blows His Top in C-SPAN Call Raging at President Over ‘Farce’ Putin Summit

A Florida voter called into CSPAN and raged about President Donald Trump’s “farce” summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin, declaring the president has lost his support.

A man identifying himself as a Florida Republican who voted for Trump called into C-SPAN on Saturday and blasted Trump’s treatment of Putin after the pair met in Alaska to negotiate an end to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. No deal was struck during the summit.

“I thought it was a farce, to be honest with you. You’re doing a flyover? You’re supposed to do that afterwards. You wait until you get something,” he said. “Second of all, you don’t treat a man like that. That’s your enemy. You don’t give him a red carpet.”

“On that plane going down there, he said one thing: if he doesn’t give me what I want then I’m gonna give him sanctions. He didn’t give no sanctions,” the caller added.

He joked that he “hoped” Putin enjoyed the “lobster and that filet mignon and the red wine that the taxpayers had to pay for.”

The angry self-identified Republican said he’s “pissed” and described Trump as being “smug” when with Putin.

“I am so p***ed at this. He got nothing. Absolutely nothing,” he said. “Did you see how smug he looked sitting there? You talking about food? Like a child?” he said.

When it was asked whether he was referring to Trump or Putin, the Republican made it clear he was referring to America’s president.

“I’m talking about Trump… Trump looked like a child!” he said, adding, “the guy’s a liar. That’s all he knows how to do is lie.”
