Trump’s Own Kids Won’t Be Voting For Him in the Primary

Donald Ivanka TrumpRepublican presidential candidate Donald Trump said during an interview with Fox & Friends that his own children, Eric Trump and Ivanka Trump, cannot vote for him in the April 19 New York primary.

In order to vote in the New York Republican primary, voters have to be registered Republicans. But the deadline to register as a Republican in order to vote in this primary was October 9 of last year. Neither Trump child met that deadline.

Trump said he didn’t considered the rules unfair. “They had a long time [to] register and they were, you know, unaware of the rules, and they didn’t, they didn’t register in time,” he said. “So they feel very, very guilty.”

“But it’s fine, I mean, I understand that. I think they have to register a year in advance and they didn’t. So Eric and Ivanka I guess won’t be voting,” he said.
