Tucker Carlson Rips ‘Brittle, Middle-Aged Woman’ Stephen Colbert for Not Finding QAnon Shaman ‘Hilarious’

Tucker Carlson ripped CBS’ Stephen Colbert as not a comedian, but a partisan “Karen” who is paid to act on behalf of Democrats Tuesday.

One of Carlson’s biggest gripes was the host was able to mine no humor out of hooligans who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

Conservatives have pounced since a number of Late Show staffers were arrested at the U.S. Capitol after police said they were there unlawfully.

Some of them, Carlson included, have facetiously referred to Colbert’s crew members as “insurrectionists.” Others have unfairly compared them to Jan. 6 rioters.

Colbert responded to some of the critiques on his show Monday night.

“I am shocked I have to explain the difference, but an insurrection involves disrupting the lawful actions of Congress and howling for the blood of elected leaders, all to prevent the peaceful transfer of power,” Colbert said.

Regarding the detainment of Robert Smigel, who is bets known as the voice of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog, the host said, “This was first-degree puppetry.”

In his opening monologue, Carlson complained Colbert is no longer a comedian. According to the Fox News host, Colbert’s show is a “sad midlife crisis” act for a man who has a political agenda.

“Colbert hides behind his former job as a comedian,” he said. “When people I don’t like break into the Capitol, it’s insurrection. When we do it, it’s comedy.”

Carlson then ripped the late night host for not finding the Jan. 6 behavior of Jake Angeli, better known as the “QAnon Shaman,” humorous.

He also invoked Richard Barnett, an Arkansas man who was infamously photographed with his feet on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s desk after the building was stormed.

“An actual comedian, whatever his politics, would have found that spectacle hilarious, because let’s be honest, it was,” he said.

Carlson aired footage of a number of Jan. 6 rioters engaged in bizarre behavior. He concluded Colbert’s inability to find a joke in it is proof he has “zero sense of humor.” Carlson commented,

The guy’s not a comedian. You watch a comedian and think, “That guy’s hilarious I would love to meet him.” Imagine eating a meal with Stephen Colbert. Chances are you’d somehow offend him over the course of a typical dinner by something he finds offensive. What are the chances of that? 100%. Stephen Colbert is a Karen, he’s a brittle middle-aged women who’s always lecturing you about something. In fact, he’s Elizabeth Warren.
