Tyrus Blasts MSNBC For Interviewing Avenatti From Federal Prison: ‘He’s a Conman!’
Fox News personality and former wrestler Tyrus laid into MSNBC for interviewing convicted felon Michael Avenatti from prison this week, arguing that the former lawyer should not be given a platform on cable news.
During a discussion on Gutfeld! about the interview, and Avenatti’s legal analysis of former President Donald Trump’s New York “hush money” case with Avenatti’s former client Stormy Daniels, Tyrus weighed in, “Alright, I’m gonna stop the Avenatti train, right now, okay? This dude was stealing money from a kid in a wheelchair, okay? Forget about Stormy Daniels.”
He continued:
What kind of lawyer does he have where he can get on TV from prison? Like literally, I was watching a documentary like, ‘Yo, Where’s My Free Plane From Pepsi?’ or whatever it was, and he shows up there! Of course as the shady lawyer ruining the kid’s life, trying to convince him to blackmail Pepsi. Why would you let this dude on the airwaves? He’s a conman!
Tyrus concluded, “You didn’t need to be an expert or passed the bar to take a guess at New York or Alabama, which state’s gonna favor Trump more. I could ask my nine year old.”
During his interview with MSNBC host Ari Melber on Tuesday, Avenatti – who is currently serving a 19-year prison sentence for extortion, fraud, and other crimes – said he did not believe Trump could “get a fair trial in New York.”
The interview was almost immediately criticized by one of Melber’s guests, who argued that Avenatti’s word could not be taken on the case, while Trump himself thanked his former nemesis “for revealing the truth.”
