‘What Would You Like Him to Do?’ Psaki, Doocy Spar Over Why Biden Hasn’t Been to the Border

Fox News’ Peter Doocy questioned White House press secretary Jen Psaki on why President Joe Biden has not gone to the border yet.

The White House press briefing Friday included Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Majorkas facing questions about the Biden administration’s handling of the crisis at the border.

Doocy started by questioning Psaki on the new reports of Hunter Biden emails, and whether the White House still thinks allegations against the president’s son are “Russian disinformation.”

“I think it’s broadly known and widely known, Peter, that there was a broad range of Russian disinformation back in 2020,” Psaki said.

Doocy then moved on to ask, “Why hasn’t President Biden ever visited the southern border?”

Psaki shot back asking him, “What would you like him to do at the southern border and what impact do you think that would have on the policies?”

Doocy again asked, “Why doesn’t he want to go?”

“I don’t think it’s an issue of wanting to go,” Psaki responded. “I think it’s an issue of what’s most constructive to address what we see as a challenging situation at the border and a broken immigration system.”
