Williams Spars With Guilfoyle: Stop Making Excuses for Trump’s Mosque Comments
As The Five opened with a discussion over Donald Trump‘s latest controversy for saying he would ‘absolutely’ consider registering Muslims in databases and surveilling mosques, Juan Williams got into a heated talk with Kimberly Guilfoyle about what exactly he was suggesting.
While Trump has tried to shift the blame onto the reporter who asked the question last night, Guilfoyle supposed Trump was trying to emphasize a call for vigilance, and that the context of the interview expanded that database to all migrants who come in. From there, Guilfoyle locked horns with Williams when he accused her of trying to make excuses for Trump’s “outrage.”
This exchange continued as Guilfoyle encouraged Williams to consider the whole video, while Williams continued to say she was excusing Trump’s idea that has reminded many of the profiling the Nazis did for Jews during WWII.
