Wolf Blitzer to Paul Ryan: Do You Have a ‘Clear Conscience’ About Supporting Trump?

Wolf Blitzer asked House Speaker Paul Ryan some pretty blunt questions today about his support of his party’s nominee, starting with “Do you trust Donald Trump?”

Ryan laughed and said it’s pretty clear to him that the Republican choice is always better than the liberal progressive one.

Blitzer pushed him on the trust question and Ryan said, “It depends on the issue.”

He insisted that Trump will be way more likely to support conservative values than Hillary Clinton would.

Ryan recently said that Republicans should “vote their conscience” when it comes to Trump, so Blitzer asked Ryan point-blank, “Do you have a clear conscience about supporting Donald Trump?”
