‘You’re in News?’ Bill Maher Can’t Believe Gutfeld Didn’t Know Trump Sued Him

Bill Maher roasted Fox News host Greg Gutfeld on Monday for being unaware that Donald Trump once sued the comedian for comparing him to an orangutan.

The Real Time host joined the Gutfeld! panel and ripped Trump for his refusal to concede the 2020 election.

“Trump is someone who does not concede elections,” Maher said. “That’s the most important thing. You don’t seem to see it that way. That’s the most important thing that’s going on in this country. He didn’t concede the last election. He’s not going to concede this election.”

“You don’t know that,” Gutfeld replied.

Maher chuckled and said before the 2020 election, he predicted Trump would not concede if he lost.

“Can you really picture this guy going, ‘You know what? I lost. That’s it.'”

“He did!” Gutfeld responded. “He left.”

“He left because he had to leave,” Maher replied before pointing out that Trump called Georgia’s secretary of state to demand he find him enough votes to win the state after he lost it.”

Apparently unable to tolerate compelling television, panelist Drew Pinsky interrupted to stop the argument and offered a point that has already been forgotten.

Moments later, Gutfeld said, “It does feel personal about Trump with Bill.”

“It’s not,” Maher insisted.

“It feels that way,” Gutfeld shot back.

“It’s just a difference of opinion,” said Pinsky, interjecting again for some reason.

“He did sue me,” Maher noted.

“Did he sue you?” the host asked.

“Of course,” Maher said, incredulously.

“I didn’t know that,” Gutfeld said.

“You’re in news?” Maher said incredulously, before recalling the lawsuit.

During a 2013 appearance on The Tonight Show, Maher said he would donate $5 million to charity if Trump could show that he wasn’t “the spawn of his mother having sex with an orangutan.”

An attorney for Trump sent Maher a copy of the future president’s birth certificate.

“Attached hereto is a copy of Mr. Trump’s birth certificate, demonstrating that he is the son of Fred Trump, not an orangutan,” the attorney wrote.

Ultimately, Trump dropped the suit.
