WATCH: Dem Power Broker Visits Newsmax to Blast the NFL and ‘Rent-a-Cop Thugs’ Who Booted Him from Eagles Game for Displaying American-Israeli Flag

On Sunday, New Jersey politico George Norcross was caught on camera at the Eagles-Cowboys game in Philadelphia in a confrontation with a security guard who tore down Norcross’s American-Israeli flag. Two days later, the Democratic power broker appeared on the right-wing network Newsmax to recount what happened.

In the original video taken by Hailey Paige, which was posted to Twitter/X by Julie Roginsky, Norcross is seen in a luxury box at Lincoln Financial Field having a heated conversation with a security guard. Since the video was taken from the crowd, there is no audio, but Norcross’s posture and the pointed tearing down of the flag by the guard led many to believe there was an argument. It was reported later that Norcross was subsequently ejected from the game.

On Tuesday, Norcross gave an interview to Newsmax’s Wake Up America with co-hosts Rob Finnerty and Sharla McBride, and explained what went on in that box and what led up to the confrontation. After explaining that he’d originally been “applauded” for bringing the flag to the game and had the approval of the people in his box, including “Philadelphia Eagle officials,” Norcross railed against “the leadership of the NFL and the Eagles” for deeming the flag “obscene”:

Apparently now the leadership of the Eagles and the NFL have decided that that flag, an American flag, Israeli flag, is considered obscene under their terms. Well, I’m sorry to say that Americans are not going to support the fact that the United States flag and an Israeli flag is deemed obscene.

Norcross announced that he is considering a lawsuit against the NFL, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the company that employed the security guard who “forcibly removed and assaulted” him — bashing the guard who committed the act a “one of their rent-a-cop thugs” who “decided to grab me and put my arm behind my back and start to drag me out of the box.”

The Philadelphia Eagles spokesman Bob Lange provided a statement to The Philly Voice following the incident stating that it wasn’t the flag that got Norcross booted, it was his own “abusive” behavior:

Our stadium policies expressly prohibit signage containing any kind of non-game messaging to be hung from a stadium suite. Stadium staff repeatedly asked Mr. Norcross to remove the sign he hung outside of the suite. Instead of complying with the request, Mr. Norcross became physically and verbally abusive. Mr. Norcross was ejected from the stadium only after his abuse toward numerous stadium staff members continued. He was escorted from the suite level to the stadium’s ejection point, just as anyone else would be after engaging in abusive behavior in violation of stadium policy.

Despite all of this, Norcross told Finnerty and McBride: “I’m an enthusiastic fan of the Philadelphia Eagles. I love them to death and going to continue to support our team and hope that we win a Super Bowl this year. But we’re making a statement and Americans need to stand up for Israel.”
