‘Who Asked The Biden Question?’ Reporters Argue On Hot Mic After Trump Attacks Biden During Courtroom Break
Reporters argued on a hot mic after one of them invited former President Donald Trump to attack President Joe Biden with a leading question about Biden’s trip to the Middle East.
On Monday night, the White House announced that Biden would be visiting Israel and then traveling to Jordan amid the Israel-Hamas war that continues to unfold. The White House said the purpose of the president’s visit is “to demonstrate his steadfast support for Israel in the face of Hamas’s brutal terrorist attack and to consult on next steps.”
The president is scheduled to depart the White House en route to Israel on Tuesday evening.
On Tuesday, Trump periodically appeared outside the courtroom where his fraud trial is taking place, once lashing out at New York State Attorney General Letitia James and the gag order in his Washington, DC trial in a bitter rant as he entered the courtroom.
But later, as Trump departed the courtroom during a break in the proceedings, reporters peppered him with questions, including one who fed Trump the suggestion that Biden’s trip is purely political — a premise that Trump half-heartedly endorsed.
After Trump left the hallway outside the courtroom, another reporter could be heard second-guessing the question as “soft” and the two argued on the hot mic:
REPORTER 1: What about Biden’s trip to Israel? Do you think Biden’s trip to Israel is political, Mr. President?
FORMER PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP: I think everything he does is political and ideologically, everything he does doesn’t work out very well. Thank you very much.
REPORTER 2: You have anything to do with unifying the party behind Jordan?

REPORTER 3: Who asked the Biden question?
REPORTER 1: I did.
REPORTER 3: A little soft.
REPORTER 1: I don’t think so, it’s the top story today, that he’s going. If you wanna ask something different (inaudible) ask what you want! (inaudible)
