Mogulite To Be Rebranded As 'The Jane Dough,' Will Focus On Women In Business
Exciting news: Our business-oriented sister site Mogulite is undergoing a transformation. As TechCrunch reported earlier today, Mogulite will be rebranded as “The Jane Dough” as of next week. So while the site — the seventh launched under the Abrams Media umbrella — will continue to tirelessly report on the wheelings and dealings (and often entertaining and/or infuriating mishaps) of the business elite, it will refine its scope to female moguls and women in business.
Mogulite’s Amy Tennery and Hilary Reinsberg will remain at The Jane Dough’s helm.
Tennery let us know what we can expect from the new site:
We want to celebrate women who’ve made a huge impact on the business world — leaders like Indra Nooyi and Irene Rosenfeld — while also calling out the subtle sexism that pervades that world. As someone who’s long been passionate about women’s issues and business writing, this is truly a dream opportunity.
This makes The Jane Dough the second Abrams Media site to present news through a female-focused lens. The Mary Sue, launched last February, focuses on all manner of geekery for a female audience.
