Alec Baldwin Rants on Twitter After Arrest: NYC ‘Carnival of Stupidity’
Alec Baldwin was in New York City today and got arrested for, of all things, riding his bike the wrong way along Fifth Avenue. And following the news of the arrest, Baldwin went to Twitter to rant about how the once-great city of New York has become a “mismanaged carnival of stupidity.”
Baldwin, who’s developed a reputation for getting into heated kerfuffles with the press, was upset that an officer (whom he called out by name) arrested him for biking the wrong way, but the police does nothing to stop the paparazzi whenever they come around and end up harassing his family.
Here’s what Baldwin had to say:
Officer Moreno, badge number 23388, arrested me and handcuffed me for going the wrong way on Fifth Ave

Meanwhile, photographers outside my home ONCE AGAIN terrified my daughter and nearly hit her with a camera. The police did nothing.

New York City is a mismanaged carnival of stupidity that is desperate for revenue and anxious to criminalize behavior once thought benign.
