As Probe Into Clinton Foundation Begins, Hillary Clinton Denies Probe

Yesterday, we reported that the FBI probe of Hillary Clinton‘s email use has expanded to include the decisions Clinton made as Secretary of State and whether there is any connection between those decisions and donors to the Clinton Foundation at that time. Another event that happened yesterday was Clinton denying the probe was happening.

Mere hours after we told you that three FBI sources confirmed the probe’s expansion to Fox’s Catherine Herridge, Clinton told the editorial board from the Des Moines Register that Fox’s report was “irresponsible.” The Register‘s chief political reporter, Jennifer Jacobs, confirmed Clinton’s denial on Twitter.

Hillary Clinton tells @DMRegister she has heard nothing from the FBI. “No, there’s nothing like that that is happening,” she says.

I’m no campaign strategist, but I’m pretty sure that going on the record to categorically deny an investigation into one’s corruption is a good way to look extra corrupt.
