Bill O’Reilly and Geraldo Rivera Defend Hannity from ‘Despicable’ Media Matters

Bill O’Reilly came to Sean Hannity‘s defense this afternoon following a CNN appearance from Media Matters president Angelo Carusone.

Carusone spoke with Brian Stelter about pressuring Hannity’s advertisers and the successes they’ve had so far, and O’Reilly––who Hannity hosted on his show recently months after his firing from Fox––slammed both Media Matters and CNN:

Media Matters and CNN teaming up to try and knock Sean Hannity off the air. Despicable and unAmerican. Freedom of speech again under fire.

Geraldo Rivera also took to Twitter to blast Media Matters to for their “totalitarian” campaign:

I used to like Media Matters when the organization stuck up for progressive principles vs swaggering populists. You’ve taken it into the gutter of boycotts and bullying. It’s like you’ve forgotten what you’re supposed to stand for. You’ve become what you profess to loath.
