Report: Charleston Shooter ID’ed As 21-Year-Old Dylann Storm Roof

The shooter who murdered nine people in a predominantly African-American Charleston church has been identified as Dylann Storm Roof, a 21-year-old Eastover, South Carolina native.

According to a local South Carolina news station, Roof  was also arrested in March on drug charges, and drives a black Hyundai Elantra. Police are cautioning that he is armed and dangerous.

Roof’s Facebook profile has a picture of the shooter wearing a jacket that appears to have the apartheid-era South African flag on it.

UPDATE — 11:36 a.m. ET: Roof has been arrested in Shelby, North Carolina.
