Colin Kaepernick Says He’s Received Death Threats as a Result of Protests
Colin Kaepernick is speaking out in a new interview about his national anthem protest, revealing that he’s been receiving death threats.
He said he’s gotten “a few,” but he’s not concerned about it. He said if God forbid something happened to him, “you’ve proved my point and it’ll be loud and clear for everyone why it happened.”
Kaepernick weighed in on the shooting of Terrence Crutcher and praised white Patriots player Chris Long for expressing his views on the importance of protests while politely disagreeing with the method.
Kaepernick also responded to critics by saying, “There’s a lot of racism disguised as patriotism in this country and people don’t like to address that and they don’t like to address what the root of this protest is.”
