DJ Khaled Gives Inspiring Words to Jeb Bush in the Most DJ Khaled Way Possible on Kimmel (UPDATED)

Rapper and music producer DJ Khaled has been undoubtedly one of the biggest names in mainstream music for several years; his high-profile collaborations have spanned every great name in hop-hop and rap, and as Jimmy Kimmel pointed out Wednesday night, Khaled’s social media feeds are works of art all on their own.

Khaled uses Snapchat and his Instagram page to post what Kimmel refers to as “inspirational and motivational messages,” and so the host of Jimmy Kimmel Live figured he would use Khaled to deliver a pick-me-up to someone in need: GOP candidate Jeb Bush.

“You know I rock with Obama… but Jeb Bush, seems like you need some advice,” said DJ Khaled before weighing in on a number of other topics beneficial to the former Florida Governor.

“Shit got real for you Jeb Bush! They don’t want you to win!” he continued. Khaled “inspired” Bush with advice aimed at the candidate’s choice of breakfast, his footwear, and basic home and garden needs (“You gotta water your plants, Jeb Bush! Nobody can water them for you.”)

The best piece of advice that DJ Khaled gave to the candidate who finds himself currently in fifth place nationally? “Don’t play basketball Jeb Bush — that’s not your sport.”

Kimmel noted, “I can easily see Jeb gain six or seven points in the polls because of that.”

Update: Jan 14 10:44 a.m. ET: Jeb Bush has apparently heard DJ Khaled loud and clear.

The Republican candidate took to Twitter to fire off this response to the comedy segment:

Only time will tell how those green apples impact his debate performance tonight from South Carolina.
