Ex-CIA Chief Brennan Blasts Trump Over NATO Remarks: ‘Dangerously Naive & Grossly Ignorant’

Former CIA Director John Brennan went after President Donald Trump for his stunning comments today during a breakfast with the NATO secretary general.

Trump once again went off on NATO allies for “delinquent” in paying up, and said, “So if you go back 10 or 20 years, you just add it all up, it’s massive amounts of money is owed, the United States has paid, and stepped up like nobody.”

He even singled out Germany and said, “Germany is totally controlled by Russia.”

Former Secretary of State John Kerry slammed Trump in a statement this morning saying, “The President set America back this morning. He is steadily destroying our reputation in the world. He is undermining our interests. He diminishes alliances we built to safeguard an economic and strategic force that has allowed millions of people to live in freedom.”

Brennan retweeted Kerry’s statement and said, “It is in the interest of America’s security if NATO leaders push back against the reckless behavior of Donald Trump, who is dangerously naive & grossly ignorant of how the world works. History inevitably will regard Trump as one of the most disastrous figures of the 21st century.”
