Former Staffer Says Jeff Sessions Should Recuse Himself, ‘Should Be No-Brainer’
A former staffer to Attorney General Jeff Sessions tweeted Thursday that he should recuse himself from the Department of Justice investigation into the Trump campaign’s possible ties to Russia, calling the decision a “no brainer.”
Former Senate and Mitt Romney campaign staffer W. Hunter Walton tweeted the following:
I spent countless hours working on argument for Kagen to recuse from ACA cases for Sessions. Recusal should be no brainer for him.

Walton has been critical of his former boss on social media before. “As former staff this is baffling and heartbreaking. Was a great mentor but this is bizarre and extremely sad,” he tweeted in October when Sessions suggested that the upcoming election was going to be rigged.
