Fox Guest Grilled by BBC over How the Hell He Thought UK City Was ‘Totally Muslim’
Steve Emerson, the commentator who made the baffling claim on Fox News that the UK city of Birmingham is “totally Muslim” and is now a “no-go zone” for non-Muslims, subjected himself to two BBC interviews today, where his interviewers asked him how the hell he thought that was accurate in the first place. This claim was so utterly ridiculous, Prime Minister David Cameron responded by calling Emerson a “complete idiot.”
Emerson appeared on BBC TV and BBC Radio today to––once again––profusely apologize for his mistake. He attributed it to “sloppy research” and a lack of fact-checking on his part. On the radio, Emerson was asked about whether there is a “prejudice” that lies behind his comments. He vociferously denied it and told host Tim Franks, “You have an agenda here.”
Both of his interviewers also asked Emerson where on earth he got his information. Emerson would not say specifically where he got his completely inaccurate assertion from, preferring to keep apologizing and insisting this was his mistake and his alone.
