Hannity: Comey Was ‘Lucky the President Let Him Collect a Paycheck as Long as He Did’

Sean Hannity didn’t quite match his impassioned “tin foil hat liberals” monologue from Wednesday night. But he still had plenty to say on the firing of FBI Director James Comey.

On Thursday night’s edition of Hannity, the Fox News host blasted Comey and said that President Donald Trump could’ve fired the FBI Director even sooner than he did.

“The President didn’t really have a choice here because Comey was a complete and utter failure,” Hannity said. “He disrespected the Constitution. He made a mockery of the rule of law.”

Hannity’s beef with Comey seemed mostly to be tied to the Hillary Clinton probe.

“The most dangerous part of what [Comey] has been doing is he created a two-tiered justice system,” Hannity said. “One for Hillary, one for Bill Clinton, and one for the rest of us.”

Never one to let an opportunity to bash Clinton pass him by, Hannity took the occasion to show a graphic of 15 different laws which the Fox News host claims Clinton broke. (“according to former U.S. Attorney Rudy Giuliani,” said the graphic at the bottom of the screen.)

As for Comey, Hannity made it clear in no uncertain terms that he’s okay with the firing.

“Comey got what he deserved,” Hannity said. “And frankly, he’s kind of lucky the President let him collect a paycheck as long as he did.”
