Hillary Met With Trayvon Martin’s Parents and Other Families in Chicago
Hillary Clinton met today with families who’ve had loved ones killed in shootings, among them the family of Trayvon Martin.
According to CNN, Clinton and these families met in a Chicago café today to talk about violence, gun control, and criminal justice issues.
Among the families there included relatives of Jordan Davis, Michael Brown, Tamir Rice, and Dontre Hamilton. Martin’s mother told CNN’s Dan Merica the meeting was very productive and “powerful.”
The meeting comes just days after Clinton was protested by #BlackLivesMatter activists. Clinton was speaking at an African-Americans for Hillary event and discussed her views on minority issues.
