‘I Went Through Such Hell’: Ex-Fox News Booker Speaks About Alleged Ailes Harassment
After airing Gretchen Carlson‘s interview on past sexual harassment, ABC’s 20/20 featured an interview with former Fox News booker Laurie Luhn, who claimed that Roger Ailes harassed her for 20 years.
She said that she “went through such hell for so many years,” claiming that many years ago he told her to come to his room and tell her to perform oral sex.
Luhn, who followed Ailes to Fox News when the network started, said that Ailes “reinforced with me how great he was.” She said over the course of many years he told her to show him “some gratitude.”
At one point, while saying she was nervous about speaking out, Luhn said, “Have you ever seen Roger Ailes when he’s unhappy?… It’s not a good sight to see. It’s pretty scary.”
She addressed her separation agreement with Ailes and her reaction to hearing Carlson speak out.
Ailes provided this statement to ABC in response to the segment:
Ms. Luhn is someone I once regarded as a friend and a person who I helped for many years. The stories she is telling now are fabrications built on half truths and outright lies, and I can only assume are opportunistically intended to thrust her back into the limelight at my expense.
