Jersey Police Release 911 Tapes from Bridgegate Traffic Jam
The Fort Lee Police today released 20 hours of 911 audio from the week of the infamous George Washington Bridge traffic jam in September that currently threatens Chris Christie’s 2016 presidential prospects.
CNN speculates that the audio from emergency dispatchers, taken from over four days of traffic jams, will illuminate the actual consequences of the bridge closure, allegedly orchestrated by key players in the Governor’s office to punish the mayor of Fort Lee, NJ. So far, EMS responders from that day claim that the lane closures were “causing unnecessary delays for emergency services,” and may have led to the inadvertent death of a 91-year-old woman being rushed to the hospital.
