John Oliver Excoriates Rudy Giuliani: He’s Just Like Trump, ‘They Both Want to F*ck Ivanka’

Often, John Oliver devotes the lengthiest portion of Last Week Tonight to a long-lead story which doesn’t have anything to do with what’s been in the headlines. But on Sunday, Oliver, evidently, couldn’t resist weighing in on Rudy Giuliani saga — as he devoted half of his program to a stunning takedown of the former New York City Mayor.

In a blistering 15-minute segment, the HBO star tore into Giuliani by detailing what he called a “weirdness factor” about the former mayor — specifically, the comedian cited Giuliani’s marriage to his second cousin in 1968.

“Bullshit!” Oliver said — laughing off Giuliani’s claim that he didn’t know he’d married his cousin until after the ceremony. “He didn’t think it was just a little bit weird at the wedding ceremony when one side of the church was both families, and the other was just one very nervous photographer who didn’t take a single picture?”

Oliver went on to say that he actually does consider Giuliani “the most honest representation” of President Donald Trump — largely because the comic deems Trump and Giuliani to essentially be “two versions of the same person.”

“They’re both New Yorkers coasting on their reputations,” Oliver said. “They’ve both had three marriages. Neither of them can shut up when in front of a camera. And, perhaps most importantly, they both want to fuck Ivanka — which is weird for Trump because Ivanka is in his family, and is weird for Giuliani because she isn’t.”
