Jimmy Kimmel mocked President Trump for recent tweets that were filled with spelling errors.
Kimmel began by slamming the president for his congratulatory call to Russian President Vladimir Putin even though he was reportedly told ‘DO NOT CONGRATULATE’ by his staff and how he’s reportedly furious about the White House leak.
“The part of the story that I love and I don’t even know if he realizes it. The fact that we know he’s mad about the leak is because someone leaked his reaction to the leak, which is a lot of leaks,” Kimmel said. “Might be time for this White House to start wearing Depends.”
Kimmel then pivoted to Trump’s tweets from Wednesday morning and pointed to his “nubby little fingers” as the cause for the spelling errors, which included numerous incorrect spellings of the word “counsel” and the misspelling of the word “whether.”
“If you’re wondering whether our president is crazy or is just dumb… dumb just won another round, okay?” Kimmel quipped. “I guess he wants to show his base that he won’t be swayed by a bunch of left-wing liberal dictionaries.”
Kimmel invoked Trump’s previous failed attempts at spelling “counsel” correctly on Twitter with tweets from May and July of last year.
“I know a lot of people can’t spell,” Kimmel continued, “but a lot of people aren’t president.”
He then called a president who can’t spell “dangerous” because Trump may tweet something like “Preparing to order LAUNCH. Maybe we’ll get some Chinese!” if he’s hungry.
