screen-shot-2016-10-07-at-11-45-52-am-1New York Knicks guard Derrick Rose and two male friends on trial in civil court in Los Angeles, where a woman alleges that the three men raped her in 2013.

According to a courtroom account from Deadspin, the accuser took the stand Thursday, and cried throughout her testimony. At one point, according to the report, a juror asked for the accuser to speak into the microphone — as she was so overcome that the juror was not able to hear her speak.

During a break with the jury out of the courtroom, defense lawyer Michael Monico lodged a complaint about the accuser’s visible emotion.

“Is she going to cry all afternoon?” Monico said.

Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald dismissed the objection.

“I’m not going to order a witness not to cry, any more than order her not to breathe,” Fitzgerald said.

The accuser’s testimony lasted through the day Thursday and is scheduled to resume today.
