Limbaugh: ‘Racism Has Been Whipped Up by the Left’ so Dems Can Hold Power

In response to a caller’s question about why the U.S. is “paralyzed by race,” Rush Limbaugh went off on the Democratic party, which he said “engage in fear and crisis on a daily basis,” for pushing the idea that racism is still such a big problem in the country and accusing Republicans of racism in order to hold onto their own power.

He said, “The Democrat party has sought to advance itself politically by making as many groups of people victims of the Republicans as possible.” Democrats, he argued, paint all Republicans as white racists who shouldn’t take charge lest everyone lose their freedom.

“Racism has been whipped up by the left, by the Democratic party as a means of silencing its opponents. The Democrat party is not about self-reliance and rugged individualism and freedom, they’re about dependence, they need people depending on them.”

He turned the tables on the left, saying Democrats were the big segregationists back in the day, and claiming “there is no criticism of Barack Obama, absolutely none of any substance from the Republican party because they’re so afraid of being called racist.”
