Man Arrested for Threatening Pelosi Over Health Care

The Associated Press is reporting that a man from northern California has been arrested by the FBI for allegedly making threatening phone calls to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.  As of yet, little is known except that the calls were related to health care reform.

From the AP article:

“Several federal officials say the man made dozens of calls to Pelosi’s homes in California and Washington, as well as to her husband’s business office, reciting her home address and saying if she wanted to see it again, she would not support the health care overhaul bill that was recently enacted.”

Things had been going so well for Pelosi lately: the health care bill was passed and most people in the know gave her much of the credit. Hell, two days ago, Sen. Tom Coburn called her a “nice person”. That might not sound like much but remember, that’s a Republican talking about Nancy Pelosi.

We can be sure that details about the man arrested will be quickly analyzed to death by all of the news channels. You can also be sure that at least one of those news channels is licking their lips and praying that the man is connected to a certain political movement. Until we know anything else though, we can just be thankful that the FBI did their job and that Ms. Pelosi is ok.
