Margaret Hoover: ‘I Had to Navigate a Minefield’ at Fox News

It “makes you feel like you’re there as a blonde backdrop for O’Reilly’s opinions.”

That’s how former Fox News contributor Margaret Hoover described her time working with Bill O’Reilly in a retelling on CNN’s New Day this morning, where the topic was very hot. She said her opinions and expertise weren’t respected.

She did make it clear she herself was never explicitly sexually harassed by the newly-ousted anchor, “but there were moments that were very uncomfortable with him.”

Ultimately, she said, “I had to navigate a minefield.” That tracks with her comments from last night about never allowing herself to be alone with him.

Watch above to see her go over what sort of criticism women at the network receive for their appearances and more.
