Mika Brzezinski Tweets #SupportForSarah to Convince Press Sec to Do ‘The Right Thing’ for Women

Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski began promoting the #SupportForSarah hashtag on Twitter today in what appeared to be a bizarre attempt at convincing the White House press secretary to “do the right thing for America’s women.”

Given that Brzezinski is known for her personal and political loathing for Donald Trump and most in his administration, it appears that her sudden pro-Sarah Huckabee Sanders hashtag was a Hail Mary try at getting her to turn on the president.

“#Supportforsarah is needed. @PressSec needs support. This is grim. Please retweet. She need a great deal of support. Grim,” tweeted the MSNBC host.

Brzezinski tweeted with the hashtag before the day’s press conference began:

After Sanders defended a controversial Trump tweet in which he suggested Democratic Senator Kirsten Gillibrand was willing to “do anything” for campaign contributions, Brzezinski continued her tweets at the press secretary — saying her day was “sad.”

While Brzezinski appeared to be calling for the press secretary to change her opinion on the numerous women who have been allegedly harassed, groped, or forcibly kissed by Trump, this morning she had an another message for Sanders — even suggesting she should just “resign.”

“Sarah Huckabee Sanders, good luck today in the briefing. Don’t lie. And do not defend the President of the United States for what he did. If you do… you should resign. But everybody else, working around the president, if your day is not consumed by getting him to take down that tweet, please leave. You are worth nothing,” said Brzezinski today.

The MSNBC host continued this rant by slamming Sanders and other women who work in the Trump administration, as none of them stood up to the president for his tweet against Gillibrand that was deemed by many to be sexist.

“You don’t care about this country. You don’t care about women, and you will support a man who does something like that. Read that tweet. Read what he put in parentheses and decide what you’re going to do at work today. If it’s anything less than making him take down that tweet or quitting, I feel sorry for you,” concluded Brzezinski.
