Milo Yiannopoulos: ‘The Daily Caller Has Caved to Pressure’ and Canceled My Weekly Column
The Daily Caller has recently come under fire for bringing on former Breitbart tech editor Milo Yiannopoulos as a weekly opinion columnist. Well, according to Milo, it appears that the DC has decided to cut its losses after just one column.
In a post on his Facebook page, the conservative provocateur said that “The Daily Caller had caved to pressure and cancelled my weekly column after a day.” He also stated that he was told that the site was “throwing its opinion editor under the bus” and had fired him. Milo further added that “right-wing media these days are spineless in the face of outrage mobs.”
Below is Milo’s Facebook post:
CNN’s Oliver Darcy would note after Milo’s post went up that the Daily Caller had indeed fired opinion editor Rob Mariani over the whole kerfuffle:
Daily Caller Editor-in-Chief Geoffrey Ingersoll confirms to me that the site has fired its opinion editor over this Milo fiasco.

Milo was forced to resign from Breitbart in February when comments he made that were seen as pro-pedophilia surfaced. Prior to the publication of Yiannopoulos’ Daily Caller column, billionaire Robert Mercer denounced the one-time Breitbart star and said he regretted supporting him in the pst. This came in the wake of BuzzFeed’s blockbuster report on Milo’s contacts with white nationalists while he was writing for Breitbart.
