Connecticut NBC Station Won’t Air Megyn Kelly’s Interview With Alex Jones

Connecticut’s NBC broadcast network will not be airing Megyn Kelly‘s controversial interview with Alex Jones this Sunday.
In a memo sent by WVIT station’s general manager and president Susan Tully to its staff, she said that due to the sensitivity of the Sandy Hook tragedy “we have decided not to air this week’s episode of Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly.”
The Sandy Hook massacre took place in Newtown, Conn. Jones, a far right-wing radio talk show host, had spread the conspiracy theory in the wake of the tragedy that it was all staged and that the parents of the children killed faked their own deaths, something Kelly confronts him about in the interview as seen in the preview that was released.
Tully added in the memo, “Over the last few days, we have listened intently to Sandy Hook parents [and] considered the deep emotions from the wounds of that day that have yet to heal.”
There has been mounting pressure for NBC to pull the interview altogether, even Jones himself has demanded it. Megyn Kelly and the show’s producers are standing behind their work.
