Roger Ailes Scolds Ed Henry’s ‘Lack of Judgment’ Over Alleged Affair, ‘Raises Serious Questions’

ed henryThere’s a new statement from Fox today, specifically from Chairman and CEO Roger Ailes, about the alleged affair of reporter Ed Henry that led to him taking some time off.

The Ailes statement, provided to The Washington Post, reads, “This raises serious questions about Ed’s lack of judgment, especially given his position as a journalist.”

This was apparently issued in response to new reports from The National Enquirer about Henry’s alleged affair, purporting to have text messages and more information from the woman in question, following up on In Touch‘s original report about the affair, which they’ve since defended.

Fox News had provided a statement to Mediaite at the time reading, “We recently became aware of Ed’s personal issues and he’s taking some time off to work things out.”
