In the span of 20 seconds, the entire Abrams Media office went on an emotional rollercoaster ride that began with one of us yelling, “Roger Goodell is dead!” and ended with all of us Googling at once and realizing that the tweet from the official NFL Twitter account was a hoax.

And as you’d expect, the wry jokes are starting already, so stay tuned for this to be a big old punchline among a certain subset of people for the rest of the day.
Roger Goodell is clearly not dead, 2016 is all about killing internationally beloved heroes.
