Rare Sighting of Scarborough Pets on Morning Joe
Regular readers of my Morning Joe content will know that I have become increasingly obsessed with Joe Scarborough’s home studio. The well appointed, columned woodland retreat has often served as a remote broadcasting spot when Scarborough hosts his show from vacation.
On Thursday — in between the predictable bloviations of Donny Deutsch — viewers of the program were treated to a glimpse of some of the menagerie of pets that are known to be in Scarborough’s life. While the former GOP Congressman offered his assessment of the latest Trump outrage in the show’s second hour, two dogs could be seen zipping along a porch in the background in the left corner of the screen. At one point they tussle with each other for a good 20 seconds. Scarborough seemed unaware
Reporting from NYMags Olivia Nuzzi suggests that Scarborough only has one dog named Scout, but since two dogs were present, it’s possible the broadcast was actually happening in the Westchester home of co-host Mika Brzezinski — who Nuzzi reports has two hounds: Cajun and Hobson. In addition to the dogs, the residence is known to house two cats, 11 chickens and a rabbit “they sometimes called Ducky.”
No sign of any of them so far.
