Donald Trump fired Corey Lewandowski as his campaign manager today, and the political media world has wondered how this happened when it seemed to almost come out of nowhere. A new report may have the answer however, and it claims that the removal was ordered by the heirs to the Trump business empire.
New York Magazine reports that Lewandowski participated in a meeting today that included Trump and his adult children: Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Ivanka Trump. A high-level campaign source reportedly talked to NYM about this meeting, and he said that Ivanka Trump led a discussion that ended with Lewandowski’s removal from his position.
NBC’s Katy Tur has long been covering the Trump campaign, and a tweet she issued today contained a statement saying that Ms. Trump has been upset with Lewandowski ever since the Michelle Fields debacle. The statement concludes that Ivanka Trump was able to convince her father to ditch his top aide due to his recent dive in the polls and threats of GOP rebellion.
Was Ivanka the final say? …

In addition to the firing, NYM and other sources indicated that things turned nasty to the point where Lewandowski had to be escorted from Trump Tower by his security personnel.
