Richard Dawkins: ‘Disgraceful’ That GOP Candidates Believe in Creationism

Richard Dawkins bemoaned yesterday how pretty much all the candidates running for president on the Republican side believe in creationism.

Dawkins joined Alan Colmes on Fox News Radio yesterday and said it’s “disgraceful” that the Republicans “don’t believe in the fundamental principle of biology, which is a fact.”

He talked at length about his new biography, but also elaborated on his thoughts about Islam and evolution. Dawkins explained to Colmes that when people hear evolution is a “theory,” they interpret it the wrong way, when, in fact, there is overwhelming scientific evidence to support it.
