Sebelius Takes Shot at ‘Right-Wing Media’ for Trying to Kill Obamacare

Former Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius spoke today at a conference for health care advocacy group Enroll America, and as she talked about the issues surrounding Obamacare in its first few months of implementation, she took a shot at conservative pundits and Republican politicians who’ve been trying to throw the whole thing out.

According to news reports, Sebelius said, “We had right-wing media, leadership in Congress who was determined on the House side to stop this law at any cost, shadow political organizations, hostile governors, all working to make sure you couldn’t do the job that was so important.”

Sebelius also talked about how “terrifying” it was when they realized the website wasn’t working early on, saying, “I would trade those eight weeks in October and November in a heartbeat.”

These were Sebelius’ first public comments since resigning from the Obama administration earlier this year.
