Should Toys R Us Be Selling Breaking Bad Toys?

 

Even if you’re a fan of Breaking Bad, this seems like an odd concept: Walter White and Jesse Pinkman toys being sold at Toys R Us. And one Florida mother has decided to fight back with a petition to get the toys removed from the stores.

Susan Myers set up a Change.org petition asking Toys R Us to stop stocking the toys of two fictional meth cooks because “their decision to sell a Breaking Bad doll, complete with a detachable sack of cash and a bag of meth, alongside children’s toys is a dangerous deviation from their family friendly values.”

Myers has nothing personal against the show, and in fact told a local news station she enjoyed it, she just doesn’t want these toys in a place where kids go to.

For their part, Toys R Us responded, “The products you reference are carried in very limited quantities and the product packaging clearly notes that the items are intended for ages 15 and up. Items from this TV series are located in the adult action figure area of our stores.”

Breaking Bad star Bryan Cranston got wind of this and tweeted a response:
