This College Basketball Coach’s Dance Moves Are Both Totally Mediocre and Highly Entertaining

We confess, we did not watch Monday night’s game between Miami and Virginia — where the Hurricanes prevailed on the road in Charlottesville, 54-48 in overtime. That said, judging by the pitifully low final score, we feel safe in assuming that the contest set offensive basketball back years.

What we are more certain of is that after the game, Miami coach Jim Larranaga showed off some celebratory moves that single-handedly set dancing back years.

The team was dancing around in a circle when Larranaga entered the room. The circle opened for him, and Larranaga danced his way in.

This was not skilled dancing. Not in the least. However, it was extremely enthusiastic dancing — which is all that matters, really. Larranaga and his team were clearly having fun.

The reason, perhaps, for all the fun was that the win was thought by some experts to take the Hurricanes off the NCAA Tournament bubble. If nothing else, Monday night proved that Miami deserves a chance to dance in the biggest dance of them all.
