Lahren, a Fox News contributor, spoke to the folks on the curvy couch on Wednesday, and she the conservative firebrand got a chance to talk about the Sunday incident when she — along with her parents — was verbally abused at a restaurant and had drinks thrown at her.
Lahren said the incident was a “disheartening” and “humiliating” event for her family and she lamented how it demonstrates the deterioration of civil discourse.
“I think that those that threw the water and were applauding and laughing about it we wanted to get their 15 minutes of fame by making video of me.” Lahren said. “You don’t have to like me you don’t have to agree with my political opinions, but you don’t have the right to throw things at me. Is that the point that we got in this country where you can’t disagree with somebody civilly, without resorting to something like that? It’s really disheartening, I’m tough, I can handle it.”
Trump backed the Fox News contributor in a tweet on Wednesday morning, writing, “Everybody is with Tomi Lahren, a truly outstanding and respected young woman!”

Lahren also took time to acknowledge her political critics who got on Twitter to defend her following the incident.
“That’s the silver lining in this whole thing,” she said. “If Kathy Griffin is standing up for you or defending you, hey, I will take it.”
