Trump Gets Brutally Mocked for Dismissing ‘Anonymously Sourced’ Stories Hours After Citing One Himself

Political observers are mocking President Trump over the attack he just launched against CNN over their recent reporting snafu.
CNN has been getting a lot of blowback over the admission from Michael Cohen‘s lawyer, Lanny Davis, that he a primary source for the network’s erroneous story that Trump had advanced knowledge of the his son’s meeting with a Kremlin lawyer. Of course, Trump never passes up a chance to attack the “fake news,” so he didn’t hesitate to slam CNN and, once again, call them the “enemy of the people.”
“Anonymous Sources are really starting to BURN the media.” @FoxNews The fact is that many anonymous sources don’t even exist. They are fiction made up by the Fake News reporters. Look at the lie that Fake CNN is now in. They got caught red handed! Enemy of the People!

When you see “anonymous source,” stop reading the story, it is fiction!

Putting his new rips on the press aside, people on Twitter are quite intrigued that Trump is taking this particular stance on anonymous sources. As the Twitterverse is pointing out, Trump amplified a story today that’s entirely based on anonymous sources, not to mention the fact that he has been one multiple times.
The story that you’re pushing this morning about DNC emails is based on anonymous sourcing in the Daily Caller. So we’ll ignore that. Copy.https://t.co/vTNbOODDwF https://t.co/tqpnIo88am

The president was a longtime anonymous source for the New York Post, has called reporters not on-the-record as president and even surreptitiously acted as his own spokesman. https://t.co/QWD4BnspgZ
