‘You Wonder Why These Things Happen, Liz?’ Gutfeld Scolds Elizabeth Warren For Rhetoric Post-GOP Shooting
Greg Gutfeld slammed Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) and other Democrats Thursday night for their response to the Senate GOP healthcare bill, especially in the wake of last week’s assassination attempt on Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) and other Republican lawmakers.
“When we’re talking about, you know, bad language and violent imagery,” Gutfeld began, “and you have Liz Warren calling this ‘blood money,’ “paying for tax cuts with American lives.'”
He then looked directly at the camera to take aim at the senator.
“And you wonder why these things happen, Liz? Huh? Maybe you should watch yourself saying those things after what happened!”
The Five co-host then ripped the staged “die-ins.”
“A ‘die-in’?!? Because Republicans kill people! That’s what we do! Isn’t that the inflammatory language we were talking about!”
Gutfeld also criticized the planning and timing of the die-ins, which took place immediately after the 142-page draft of the health care bill was released. “Everybody there read the report! They already knew it and they instantaneously showed up for a ‘die-in’!”
Kimberly Guilfoyle mused that everyone at the die-ins, “knows how to speed-read.”
Dana Perino mentioned that she passed by a “die-in” earlier that morning in Central Park.”
“That was just a few people passed out drunk,” Jesse Watters joked.
