Trump Throws Grotesque Insult at Maggie Haberman in Unhinged Rant About Her Reporting

Former President Donald Trump took to social media on Thursday to level a grotesque and childish insult at New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman.

Haberman is an award-winning journalist who has reported on Trump for years and has a keen insight into Trump’s madman methods, which she documented in her book Confidence Man: The Making of Donald Trump and the Breaking of America.

Trump has long had something of a love-hate relationship with Haberman, working with her on stories but also delighting in criticizing her with schoolyard bully taunts that usually show off his insecurities more than toughness. For some time, he purposefully misspelled her last name as “Hagerman” because… zing!

The latest bit of reporting that set Trump off is a story in the New York Times on a business fraud case in which Trump has already been found liable. Trump took issue with Haberman’s focus on the merits of the case, as well as a gag order which Trump was found to have violated — costing him a $10,000 fine. During a CNN appearance, Haberman also noted that Trump’s courtroom bullying antics appear to be backfiring.

Trump took to Truth Social in response, concocting one of his more unhinged posts about Haberman yet:

Writer Maggot Hagerman of the Failing New York Times wrote almost her entire FAKE story today about the Trump Hating Judge’s Gag Order (They love to silence me!), rather than the Racist Attorney General’s STAR witness chocking like a dog on the Witness Stand (Perry Mason?), and admitting that I NEVER asked him to do anything wrong. He also admitted that he lied to Congress Under Oath, AGAIN, brand new charges. THAT MEANS THEY NO LONGER HAVE A WITNESS, OR A CASE. She also failed to report that the Trump Hating Judge refuses to respect or accept the Appeals Court decision reversing him, a first! Maggot should focus her energies on Corrupt Prosecutors and Judges, whose hatred and bias is so great that they are unable to make a fair and reasonable decision. New York is crime ridden and dying, but I will save it in 2024… It can’t come too fast!

“Maggot.” Please. As it turns out, it’s not the first time Trump has used the larval insult towards Haberman. He introduced it in February 2022 after she reported that White House toilets had been clogged during the Trump administration due to documents being flushed.

So, not only is Trump being grotesque in his immature insults, but he’s being redundant as well.
