Fox’s Rachel Campos-Duffy Tells Vivek Ramaswamy: ‘Your Answers Are So Perfect It Makes People Nervous!’

After a raucous showing at Wednesday’s GOP primary debate, presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy continued his campaign on Fox News’ Fox & Friends in a convivial interview with Rachel Campos-Duffy — even after the hosts of the show were less than impressed with him. Campos-Duffy went so far as to cite another person saying of Ramaswamy as being “so perfect” that may have been meant as a tough question but came across as lavish praise.

Earlier in the show on Thursday, co-host Steve Doocy’s reaction to Ramaswamy’s attack on former Ambassador Nikki Haley’s daughter for using TikTok was “What was he doing?” Co-host Brian Kilmeade was also baffled by the choice to go after Haley’s daughter, who is 27 years old, for choosing to use TikTok but blaming her mother for not paying attention to her own family: “That’s a point that, I think, was not worth making.”

Even after that criticism, they threw to Campos-Duffy in Miami, where she had Ramaswamy and his wife, Dr. Ap0orva Ramaswamy, teed up for an interview with hard-hitting questions like:

[P]eople are talking about, it’s funny, but the truth is that this is a really important topic to you, the idea of war. It is peace and the wars that we’ve been in in the last decades and so.

And:

When you’re on the trail, what are people telling you, and are you seeing it, that it’s like there’s like a certain age group that is in support of you and then the other side isn’t?

But notably:

You know, one of the things somebody told me here in the diner was that your answers are so perfect, it makes them nervous! Why is that?

To boot, Ramaswamy’s response to that was:

I appreciate that you should be skeptical of any politician. I’ve only been one for about seven months, but I, too, am skeptical of politicians.
