‘Get Ready’: Trump’s Former National Security Advisor Shares Stark Warning About Trump Returning to Power

Donald Trump’s former National Security Advisor John Bolton offered a stark warning on Tuesday about his former boss returning to power.

Bolton shared a viral clip of Trump speaking with Fox News’s Steve Doocy in 2018 in which Trump offered some praise for the North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.

“He’s the head of a country, and I mean he’s the strong head. Don’t let anyone think anything different. He speaks and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same,” Trump said in the clip.

The clip has gone viral all over again in recent weeks as Trump’s bombastic rhetoric has made headlines and he has offered praise for China’s Xi Jinping.

Bolton captioned the clip, writing, “Donald Trump wants Americans to treat him like North Koreans treat Kim Jung Un. Get ready…..” Bolton has joined the chorus of former Trump administration officials speaking out against Trump and warning that his return to office could be a national security risk.

The New York Times recently highlighted the top 17 former Trump officials that have spoken out against the president including former Secretaries of Defense like James Mattis and Mark Esper, former National Security Advisers like Bolton and H.R. McMaster, and even Trump’s former chiefs of staff like John Kelly and Mick Mulvaney.
