Brutal James Harden Rant from Dallas Mavericks Analyst Reportedly Deleted by TV Execs

Executives from Bally Sports ordered the deletion of a scathing James Harden rant from a Dallas Mavericks analyst over the weekend.

In just the last few years, the NBA All-Star has played for the Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets, Philadelphia 76ers, and now the Clippers. He left the first three teams on bad terms.

At halftime of the Mavericks’ Friday game against the Clippers, analyst Brian Dameris delivered a two-minute rant explaining why Harden has been the problem.

“Listen, James, have you ever had those friends who had bad roommates?” Dameris said. “Over and over, they complained about their bad roommates. ‘This guy’s terrible’… They never thought to be self-aware enough that they’re the bad roommate. They’re the problem. Hey, James, you’re the problem.”

Dameris ended the rant with, “You’re not ‘The Beard.’ You’re not the system. You’re the problem.”

As one might expect, the clip quickly became a viral hit; and it wasn’t thanks to some random viewer who happened to be watching the game. The official Twitter account for Bally Sports Southwest posted the brutally honest rant.

Now, however, that rant is nowhere to be found on the account. Sources told Sports Illustrated that the decision to remove the rant from the account came directly from Bally Sports execs because it “did not reflect the Mavericks organization.” Additionally, the executives did not agree with Dameris’ “editorializing” even though the rant was entirely based on things that actually happened.

When users noticed the clip was deleted, some theorized it was the result of the NBA taking exception to it. Sources confirmed there was no outside influence that went into the decision.
