Bill Press: ‘If Donald Trump Succeeds, America Fails’
Remember how Rush Limbaugh said before President Obama‘s 2009 inauguration “I hope he fails”? Well, we know have the flip side of that with Donald Trump.
Liberal radio host and CNN commentator Bill Press told Brooke Baldwin this afternoon there’s a difference between accepting Trump as president and “backing off and not being willing to criticize some of the appointments he has made.”
He made it clear he wasn’t happy about President Obama saying everyone should hope Trump succeeds:
“I don’t hope that Donald Trump succeeds, I hope he fails. I hope he fails at all the things that he promised to do. And I think if he follows through with throwing all these 12 million immigrants out of the country or putting a religious test for Muslims coming into this country or getting rid of the Paris accord and on down the list, if Donald Trump succeeds America fails.”
Baldwin asked Press if he really means that. Press said given everything Trump has promised, he genuinely hope Trump fails at all of it.
